An unusual pair of co- respondent shoes with the Utility Mark making them 1940’s.
They belonged to the famous comedian Max Miller, one of only two men that would have the last train from Victoria to Brighton held for them. The other man was the Earl of Stockton, the former Prime Minister Harold Macmillan.
The low comedian and the Earl, both in their own way loved by the people. Both of them great Englishmen of their time.
